Datasets for Research Have Arrived!!megaphone
We are happy to share with you the latest feature on MyNetResearch - Datasets for Research. What are these Datasets? They are thousands of time series data from multiple subject areas, most likely including yours.

Using our Datasets function in our acclaimed Research Toolbox, you can search on such parameters as (a) the data timeframe, (b) the producing agency, (c) originating country, and (d) keywords, and download datasets from our huge and growing collection on our server - growing to over 100,000 datasets over the next few months!

Whether it is US Employment patterns, computer usage in the OECD, elementary education in Asia, or exports from China to the EU over the last decade, you can find and download thousands of datasets from MyNetResearch and use them for your research papers.

Data is the lifeblood of researchers and through our new tool, we distance ourselves even further from our competition. With over 6,450 members, MyNetResearch is the only destination for serious researchers worldwide.

MNR Usage Tips
My Toolbox (Horizontal Toolbar)
Tools for the research enterprise play a critical part in the success of the individual researcher.  MyNetResearch enhances its members’ research by providing six powerful tools to help in various stages of any research project.  We will profile one tool in each of the next several newsletters.  Access to these tools is available to Premium or Institutional members.

Literature Search and Citation Analyzer
This tool enables you to perform literature searches and citation analyses of selected research papers.  With it, you can also create a bibliography of your selected papers

  • Not making a selection in any drop down menus will result in a paginated listing of all the journals
    - Click Journal to see the complete listing of available journals meeting your chosen criteria
  • You can choose any combination of Discipline, Subject, Rank and Review Type to narrow your Journal listing
  • Normal view shows Record Number, Subject, Rank, Journal Name, Review Type, Publication Frequency, Languages, Publication Charge, About the Journal, Audience and URL
For example, when you select Discipline | Clinical Medicine; Rank | Reputable; Review Type | Peer - your listing only shows Record Number, Subject, Journal Name, Publication Frequency, Languages, Publication Charge, About the Journal, Audience and URL
  • Your selected criteria appear below the Journal Selection guide in breadcrumb format.
For example, You have selected: Clinical Medicine, Reputable, Peer appears for the above search

Research Collaboration in Green Energy Studies
While many of us tend to view research collaboration at the individual, lab, or organizational level, nations can also be the unit of collaboration.  In an exciting development, The United States and Japan agreed to collaborate in eight research areas that include solar power generation, carbon capture and storage, nanotechnology and hydrogen technology.  Japanese officials expect a final agreement by the end of April.

U.S. President Barack Obama and Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso agreed on energy and environment research collaboration when they met in February 2009.  The Japanese National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, an affiliate of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, will work together with five U.S. institutes.  The emphasis of this collaboration is to discover and promote environmentally-friendly energy solutions.  Efforts at reducing deleterious human effects on the environment are critically important.

It is heartening to see commitment at the highest levels of government to improving our planet.  Every endeavor, no matter how small, is significant.  Throughout U.S. history, abundant natural resources blessed the United States and many people in the U.S. were very cavalier about the environment (amazingly some still are).

We applaud the efforts of the Japanese Prime Minister and the President of the United States.  Perhaps some of you will be lucky enough to work on one of these projects.  If you do, please consider using green practices in your work.  Using electronic media (such as MyNetResearch.com) can help you print less and travel less, as well as help you get your tasks done on time and within budget.  We are counting on you and thank you for your efforts.
